About Feverfew
A daisy flowered herb long used in folk medicine to reduce fevers, as its name suggests. Today it is best known as a traditional remedy for preventing migraines, though clinical evidence is mixed. Its main active compound is parthenolide. Chewing the fresh leaves can cause mouth sores. It self seeds freely and has a strong bitter scent. A popular cottage garden plant.
